We promote environmentally sensitive
livelihoods.
The Aka'ani Agripreneurship Initiative empowers women and the youth in the community called “The Oaks”.
By creating a self-sustaining community farm, the women of the village are learning about organic farming and receive business training to sell their home-grown products.
Aka'ani operates three projects in "The Oaks", including the training centre, the geranium farm and the cultivation of several vegetable gardens.

TRAINING CENTRE
At the Training Center, the women will learn about agroecology and how to build up their own business.

GERANIUM FARM
We are currently planting 45000 plants. In a few month, the leaves can be harvested for the first time and further processed into essential oil.

VILLAGE GARDEN
We grow organic veggies!
The harvest is sold in 'The Oaks' and to interested parties near Hoedspruit.
